You have been chosen

 

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you…” – John 15:16

 

When Saul came near Damascus, the Lord spoke to him in a vision. He was trembling and saying, “Lord, what do you want me to do?” Then the Lord spoke to Ananias in a vision and revealed His will and purpose in Paul’s life. So, it is clear as crystal that the Lord chooses us to accomplish His purpose in our lives. Such chosen vessels of God may pass through the following predicaments. 

 

1.Grief, agony and humiliation: 

Joseph was chosen by God and sent to Egypt to accomplish His ultimate plan to nourish and save much people alive, when the famine was sore in all lands. But he had to endure the humiliation of his brothers and the reproaches of Potiphar’s wife. He was tested by adversity. Mary was the chosen vessel of the Lord to send Jesus to the world as Son of Man and she had to bear disgrace and criticism. 

 

2. Period of subjection:

Esther was the chosen vessel to save the Jewish people from destruction. She was made the queen “for such a time” to carry out God’s plan. Risking her own life, she pleaded for the relief and deliverance of the Jewish people. But Esther had to be in subjection to her adoptive father Mordecai to be used by God. 

 

3. Time for sacrifice:

Paul was the chosen vessel of the Lord to bear the Lord’s name before gentiles, Kings and the children of Israel. But he had to sacrifice his honor, dignity and luxurious life. The Lord said, “How great things he must suffer for my name’s sake” 

 

Beloved, suppose we have such experiences mentioned above, for sure we are the chosen ones of God with a great purpose. So let us run the race that is set before us with endurance, faith and enthusiasm and fulfil God’s plan for us.
