Patience
“…and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit” - Ecclesiastes 7:8
We have all surely seen a snail. Have you ever thought about how slowly and patiently it moves? It teaches us a simple but powerful lesson patience. The Scriptures tell us that a person who is patient is superior to one who is proud. We are encouraged to grow in love, patience, and a gentle spirit. It is also written that through our patience, we preserve our souls. When we set out to undertake a task, do we approach it with patience, or do we act in haste? If we tend to be hasty, let us resolve starting now to make an effort to change ourselves. In every aspect of your journey through life, exercise patience. This is especially crucial when the moment arrives to make a decision; you must make that decision with patience. No matter how compelling or urgent a situation may seem, we must not act in haste; rather, we must handle it with patience. Patience helps foster healthy relationships and paves the way for success in life.
The Scriptures teach us that we must learn patience amidst tribulation. Do you know what happens when patience takes root within us? Tribulation produces patience; patience produces character; and character produces hope. We must navigate our lives with both hope and patience. If we look at King David, we see that he never made a hasty decision. He would wait in the presence of the Lord, seek and receive His counsel, and only then proceed to undertake any task. Consequently, whatever he did it ended in victory.
Dear Friends, if you, too with patience wait in the presence of God before making any decision regarding your life, the outcome will undoubtedly be one of victory and blessing for you. "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31) Move forward with patience. May the Lord bless you. Amen.
