The God of Miracles

 

“…yea, and wonders without number" - Job 9:10

 

The famous sculptor Michelangelo was once walking through a forest with his friend in the evening. He pointed to a large rock and said, “Look at that rock it looks like an angel.” His friend could not understand what he meant. Sending his friend off to rest for a while, Michelangelo took up his chisel and began to work on the rock. His skilled hands moved swiftly, transforming the stone into the lifelike angel. The following evening, as the two walked through the same woods again, the friend was awestruck to behold the figure of an angel carved into the rock. His joy knew no bounds. If a mere human can create something beautiful from an unnoticed stone, how true it is that God who created everything out of nothing will likewise shape and refine your life! As we read in Psalm 113:7: "He lifts the poor from the dust and raises the needy from the ash heap." If we were to recount and proclaim the wonders the Lord God has performed for us, they would be beyond number. He alone possesses the power to transform our failures into triumphs. He is the One who transforms sinners into saints. He is the God of miracles.

 

Peter was one of the twelve disciples who walked with Jesus. A fisherman by trade, he chose to follow Jesus. At one point, he even denied knowing Jesus. However, after Jesus Christ rose from the dead, Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit. From that moment on, a profound transformation took place in Peter's life. Many were saved through Peter's preaching. Jesus took the ordinary Peter and used him in an extraordinary way to perform great signs and miracles. He is the One who performs great deeds that are beyond human comprehension and countless wonders.

 

Dear reader, our Lord is a God who performs miracles and wonders. He is the One who brings us joy by accomplishing things beyond human understanding and the laws of nature. To everyone who feels that nothing significant has happened in their life who yearns and longs for a miracle of their own the Lord is capable of performing wondrous deeds for you in these very days. Let us continue to pray, and we will see victory!
