Daily Devotion (English) – 29.03.2026 (Kids Special)

 

The Baby Donkey.

 

"...for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest" - Joshua 1:9

 

Dear children! Do you know what Sunday it is today? It is known as Palm Sunday, or Hosanna Sunday. On this day, people hold palm leaves and walk in procession around the church joyfully. Today, I am going to tell you the story behind this special day.

 

When Jesus lived on this earth, He travelled to the city of Jerusalem. He said to two of His disciples, "Go to the village ahead of you. There, you will find a young donkey tied up one that no one has ever ridden before. Untie it and bring it to Me." As they were wondering in their minds "How can we just go into a place where no one knows us and do that?" Jesus spoke again. He said, "If anyone asks you, 'Why are you untying the young donkey?' simply tell them, 'The Lord needs it.' Then, no one will say a word to stop you." Did you see that, little kids? Our Jesus is a God who knows even the thoughts within our hearts and provides the answers we need! The disciples went to the village and did exactly as Jesus had instructed. They untied the young donkey and brought it back. They placed their cloaks over the colt, and Jesus climbed onto it and rode along. Along the way, many people spread their garments on the ground, and others laid down tree branches.

 

Oh, what an amazing moment! What honour and respect the little donkey received simply because Jesus was riding upon it! Those walking ahead and those following behind all shouted with joy and sang songs, exclaiming, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!" They were filled with happiness. Do you know what it is that Jesus desires most, little ones? You, too, must become like the donkeys that carry Jesus. There are many children in this world who are bound by various problems such as sin, curses, and sickness. You, little ones, are exactly whom Jesus needs to bring these children to Him.

 

Do not think, "I am just a small child; I cannot do anything." It is precisely through you that Jesus intends to perform mighty miracles. Just try saying this: " Jesus, I am here. Use me. I want to carry You." Jesus will be overjoyed. Isn't that wonderful, dear kids?
