Time is in Your Hands
“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time” – Colossians 4:5
Hi, Kids! How are you all? Have you finished your homework? It seems like everyone has a mobile phone in their hands these days! Okay let me tell you a story.
There was a wealthy young man named Raja. His father was a multi-millionaire a successful businessman. Raja’s father bought him absolutely everything he asked for. Growing up with every comfort imaginable, Raja eventually became a young adult. Thinking, "My son needs to learn responsibility," his father devised a special training program for him. Do you know what it was? He gave him 24,000 rupees every single day. You’re probably thinking, "Wow, how exciting!" But there was a rule: he couldn't just waste the money; he had to spend it in a useful, productive way. If he didn't spend that entire 24,000 rupees within that single day, the money wouldn't remain in his account; it would become invalid essentially worthless. So, Raja made sure not to oversleep, not to be lazy, and not to waste a single moment. Every day, he would carefully think about how to spend that money meaningfully considering who he could help and how he could make a difference and then he would act on those thoughts. Do you know what happened in the end? He grew up to become a highly successful businessman himself!
Yes, kids! Jesus has placed something similar in our hands too: 24 hours each day. Jesus is constantly watching to see how you choose to use this gift of time. Once a precious day has passed, we can never get it back. That is why we must spend every single minute in a useful and productive way, little kids. How are you using your time? What are you going to do with the time Jesus has given you to make it useful for Him? Will Jesus be pleased or saddened by the way you spend your time? Just think about it yourself. Instead of wasting your time spending hours watching TV or seeing your mobile phone you should be active: doing your homework, playing, and helping your parents. You must not be lazy. If you do this, Jesus will be very happy. Okay, kids?
