The Time of Meeting

 

“Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation” - Psalm 106:4

 

When Billy Graham was a young man playing football, the Lord met him right on the playground and called him into ministry. The words the Lord spoke “Will you waste your life as just a sportsman? Lift up your eyes the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Will you come for My gospel work?” broke Billy Graham’s heart. He dedicated his life to serving God. The sound of that call transformed him once a football player into a world-renowned and mighty evangelist.

 

In the Holy Bible, specifically in Acts chapter 9, God suddenly encountered a young man named Saul as he was traveling along the road to Damascus. As the light of the Lord shone upon Saul, he fell to the ground. That encounter brought about a profound transformation in his life. Saul became Paul. Thereafter, he poured out his entire life for the sake of God. Yes, the time when God meets us is a powerful and life-changing moment. That encounter brings transformation, purpose, and countless blessings. In the verses spanning Ecclesiastes 3:1–8, Solomon speaks of various seasons and times. Indeed, there is a time for everything. Among these, there is a specific time when the Lord chooses to meet us. There is a moment when He awakens within us the realization of our need for salvation. There is a season when He speaks to us and brings spiritual renewal to our lives. And there are moments when He establishes a covenant with us, exalting and honouring us. There comes a time when we must surrender our lives to God, take action, and make our contribution. The days are passing by with great speed. Even today, Jesus Christ looks with compassion upon those who are living aimlessly, oblivious to the preciousness of time.

 

Dear children of God, has the Lord met with you? Has your life been transformed? If so, you must certainly take action for the redemption of perishing souls. Can you truly meet Him empty-handed, without having saved a single soul? Dedicate the precious moments of your life to Him; spend your time for His sake. God will bless you by granting you thousands of souls far more than you could ever imagine or ask for. When you meet, at His coming, the very Jesus who once met with you, you will rejoice and exult. Hallelujah!
