God Who Has Not Forgotten Us

 

"Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight:..." - Hebrews 4:13

 

Hello kids!... How are you? Hope you are all doing well? This year it was very cold, wasn’t it? Now slowly the summer season is starting. People say this year the summer may be a little hotter. During summer we should drink plenty of water. That will keep our bodies healthy and help us stay happy. When we are small, our father and mother will take care of us. But when you grow up, you have to take care of yourself. Always carry your water bottle and make sure you drink the water instead of bringing it back full. Drink enough water, okay children?

 

Now I will tell you a little story. Do you have a chair? Now we use plastic chairs. But back then, they used wooden chairs. A chair is a combination of four legs, a seat to sit on, and a back to lean on. All of this is held together by a small nut that is not visible from the outside. But that is what holds everything together. One day, that nut thought: "Everyone knows the legs, only the seat. I am hidden; no one notices me. I am going to disappear," and it fell down. No one knew about it. Then, when a guest came to the house, they put a chair on it. What happened when the guest sat down? The chair leg broke... and fell down. It was a shame for the guest and a shame for the household. Later, when they looked, they realized, "Oh! That nut has fallen." That's when everyone realized that without this small nut, this big chair would be useless.

 

This is exactly what happens in our lives as well. Many people came to Jesus. John declared, "He is the Son of God." Andrew proclaimed, "We have found the Lord." Nathanael was the last to arrive. Jesus described him as "a true Israelite, in whom there is no deceit." Did you see that, kids? What a tremendous blessing! Everyone else was well-known and visible. Yet, the Lord did not forget even the one who came last. Some people might look at you and say, "You are useless; You cannot do anything." Do not let such words trouble you. Even if you are not in the spotlight, you are incredibly important. Like a nut holding a chair together, you may remain hidden from view; but in the eyes of the Lord, you are never hidden. He will bless you, and He will use you for His own purposes.
