Don't get tired!

 

"…that men ought always to pray, and not to faint..." - Luke 18:1

 

Many of us may know about the prayer warrior George Muller. Even on his deathbed, he was praying. In particular, he had been praying for many years that two of his friends would repent and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. God heard George Muller's persistent prayer. Before he died, one of them accepted the Lord. A few months after Muller died, another friend also accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. George Muller had been praying for 53 years that they would repent. Look, the prayer he prayed without giving up was answered.

 

In today’s Bible passage, we read about a widow who went to a judge and pleaded, “Grant me justice against my adversary.” For a long time, the judge ignored her request. But later he said to himself, “Because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t keep coming and troubling me.” Jesus said, “Will God not be patient with his chosen ones who cry out to him day and night and not avenge them?”

 

Dear Friends! tiredness and discouragement can come to all of us because we are human. Especially in prayer, it is natural to feel weary. It can even be said that there is no creature that does not get tired. Why did not even the great prophet Elijah get tired? Whenever we get tired, let us rely on the Spirit. Many of us get discouraged and give up on prayer when our prayers are not answered. Not only that, sometimes we even forget to pray. Even if it is late, Jesus will definitely answer us. So whenever we get discouraged, let us rely on the Spirit, receive new strength, and continue to fight in prayer and win.
