Wonderfully Made

 

"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works;..." - Psalm 139:14

 

A farmer ploughs the land, prepares the soil, scatters the seeds, waters them, and then waits for the harvest. Inside the soil, something amazing happens. The small seed grows into a plant, then into a big tree, blossoms, and finally bears fruit. These are the wonderful works of the Lord. It is God who makes it grow.

 

A cow that eats green grass gives white milk that is full of nutrients for humans. Have we ever thought that it is a wonderful work of the Lord? No. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. The works of the Lord are wonderful. Has our heart ever stopped its course, saying, "I will rest a little?" If it stopped like that, could we live? How wonderful are the works of our Lord! We should thank our Father every minute of the day for guiding and protecting our hearts.

 

We use vehicles. No matter how expensive the vehicle is, it can only be driven for a few hours. Then we can stop it, refuel it, and rest before continuing. But look, He kept Methuselah’s heart beating without interruption for nine hundred and sixty-nine years (Gen. 5:27). That is why the psalmist says, “I am wonderfully made.”

 

When danger comes to us, we are not careless. In a split second, the brain takes notice and the eyes see, the legs try to run and escape, the mouth says “Jesus” and seeks the Lord’s help, and the hands try to stop the harm. See how our entire body works. Who gave us the sense to perform these amazing spontaneous actions? The Lord. He protects each of our limbs. Let us praise God who gave us His body to be broken on the cross. As our members work together, as believers and servants, may God grant us the grace to complete the vision and plan that the Lord has given us. Let us believe that victory is certain.
