Be Strong in the Lord

 

“…but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” - 1 Samuel 30:6

 

In our daily life, no one can say what will happen the next moment. Without God’s love and mercy, we cannot live even for a second. In this world, many people may discourage us, and only a few will encourage us.

 

King David had a close relationship with God during his time as a shepherd. While shepherding the sheep, he had a musical instrument (harp) in his hand. He felt the presence of the Lord by praising God with his musical instrument. It helped David, the shepherd, compose many psalms. He killed the giant Goliath with his trust in God. If David had not killed Goliath, Saul and the Israelites would have lived a hard life paying tax to the Philistines. But David’s greatest struggle was overcoming the challenge of his father-in-law Saul. Saul became jealous because the people praised David. He tried to kill him several times. Not only that, the people who were with David also tried to stone him to death. In this way, David faced much opposition.

 

Remember David when you are going through problems. We read in the Bible that he strengthened himself in the Lord. In the time of trouble, he will call on me. The Lord says that I will answer him and deliver him.

 

Dear friends! Family, relatives, friends, and neighbours can reject you at any time. The ruler of darkness is filling the hearts of people with bitterness. His job is to separate a wife from her husband or children from their parents. Many years ago, God gave me a thought, “Do you know that those who often come to you and criticize others will criticize you to others?”

 

Strengthen yourself in the Lord as you go through many problems in life. The eternal God will miraculously deliver you from problems, guide you, and give you victory. Amen.
