Let's Live for Jesus

 

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it” - Luke 9:24

 

Once, a group of terrorists captured some Christians and threatened them, saying, “If you deny Christ, we will spare your lives. If not, we will kill you.” All of them were ready to give their lives for Christ. One of the extremists looked at the first one and said, “If you deny Jesus, I will leave you right now.” He replied, “Jesus Christ loves you and me.” Immediately, he killed him with the knife. In this way, each of their heads was cut off.

 

The last man standing was filled with fear and anxiety in his mind, thinking that he might deny the Lord. At that time, the leader of the extremist group was observing something. Those who die for Christ surrender themselves without any fear of death. At the moment they were killed, he saw a crown being placed on their heads. While he was wondering what this was, the Christian, who was afraid of death, saw the crown rising and falling. The leader was very surprised to see it! He understood the truth that it was a crown of life that had come down from heaven. He understood that Christ is the true God and the greatness of dying for Christ. He immediately said to him, "I accept that Jesus as my personal Savior. Kill me." He surrendered himself. The crown was placed on him, and he received eternal life. At the same time, they killed the Christian who wanted to save his life. But he lost his life unwillingly, without love for Christ, and by force, he lost his life and the kingdom of heaven.

 

Yes, dear brothers and sisters, we live once, let us live it for Jesus, that is the true life. Only he who endures to the end will be saved. “What shall it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” (Mark 8:36). So, let us not waste our time on the temporary love and empty things of this world. Instead, let us spend our lives for Jesus. We can lose anything for Jesus, but never lose Jesus for anything my dear sons and my dear daughters Amen.
