Love
“…Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” - Matthew 19:19
This is an incident that happened a long time ago. In a European country, there lived Black people of African descent. The Europeans treated them very badly. Let's look at one such story.
A wealthy man had three cars in his house. He also had many servants working for him. He had built houses for the servants to live in near his own house. He had only one son, whose name was Nixon. He was very handsome. Their car driver was a Black man. His son's name was Johnson. Nixon disliked Johnson intensely. He would play with the children of the other servants, but just seeing Johnson would make Nixon angry and irritated. He would even hit him.
Nixon often told his father, “Please remove Johnson’s father from his job. I don’t like seeing them at all. I hate Johnson." But Nixon's father said, "You shouldn't be like that; you should love everyone and show them affection." He advised Nixon repeatedly, saying that Johnson and his father were very good people, and that he shouldn't hate them because of their skin colour. But Nixon didn't listen to his father and kept thinking about how to get rid of that Black uncle and his family.
One day, Nixon was playing with firecrackers with the boys from his neighbourhood and the children of the other servants. A spark from a firecracker landed on Johnson's clothes, burning a hole in them. Nixon was watching and laughing, clapping his hands. While he was laughing, his own shirt unexpectedly brushed against a nearby candle and caught fire. Immediately, he ran around shouting "Fire! Fire!". Others removed the firecrackers to prevent further damage. But Johnson quickly grabbed a blanket, ran over, wrapped it around Nixon, and they both rolled on the ground. Once the fire was extinguished, Nixon was immediately taken to the hospital in a car. That's when Nixon understood Johnson's love. From that day onwards, Nixon and Johnson became friends.
Similarly, you too should not hate others based on their outward appearance. You should show love to everyone. Okay, kids!
