The Lord's Grace Sustains Us

 

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life..." - Psalm 23:6

 

Many reporters once gathered around an elderly man who had lived a long life. They wanted to know the secret of his long life. As if he was not very interested in answering, he said, “I did not always eat healthy food, nor did I regularly exercise. The only reason I have lived this long is my God. It is only His grace that has sustained and guided me until today.”

 

God has graciously allowed us to see another new year - 2026, after 2025. In this world full of so many problems, dangers, and evils, God alone is our protection. "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed." The God of gods, who said, "I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand," is able to protect us no matter how difficult the circumstances.

 

We witnessed various natural disasters, storms, rains, terrible accidents, murders, and robberies last year. Yet, as God's people, we are safe in God's mighty hand.

 

There is a purpose for our being safely protected by the Lord. It is that we should tell many people about Him. We must continue to tell, until our last breath, that He who gave us life, health, strength, and well-being, is also able to give these to others. This will lead many to the Lord.

 

My dear ones, our times are in God's hands. The Lord, who says, "I will uphold you, carry you, bear you, and deliver you," is with us at all times and in all circumstances. May God, who holds our hands and embraces us to His bosom, protect us every moment throughout this year! Amen.
