Invest Your Time

 

“…redeeming the time" - Colossians 4:5

 

In some Western countries, there are organizations that help people save and use time wisely. For example, if you have an hour or two of free time at your workplace today, you should inform these organizations. They will send you to assist elderly or sick people who are in need during those times. You can help by taking the elderly to the bank, the store, or the hospital. In return, when we need help later, these organizations support us. In this way, time is invested wisely.

 

This is how time is invested. God gives us 24 hours every day. We must plan how we spend those 24 hours. In this new year, let us resolve to spend more time for the Lord. Let us increase our time spent in prayer, reading the Bible, and having personal time with God, through which our faith will grow. Even Jesus Christ, during His time on earth, needed to spend personal time with the Father. He was filled with the Holy Spirit and lived according to God’s will. Similarly, if we want to fulfill God's will, we too must rise early in the morning, while it is still dark, and wait in God's presence.

 

Let us also invest our time for the Lord in heaven. You can join us in ministry on a part-time basis. The Lord has stored up heavenly treasures as a reward for you.

 

Dear Beloved, give your time to God. It will be stored as an investment in the heavenly account. No one can take it away or destroy it. Let us do things that are beneficial to God and pleasing to Him. Thereby, we will receive the reward that comes from God. You can volunteer to do tract distribution or children's ministry during your holidays. If you do so, God will exalt you at the proper time. Plan to contribute your time this year. May the Lord bless you.
