Fire

 

“And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity…” - James 3:6

 

Once the teeth saw how much trouble the tongue could cause, looked at the tongue and said, "We are 32 in total. If everyone squeezes you together, you will become empty." Immediately, the tongue, without thinking, smiles and says, "I am lonely. But if I change one word, you all 32 become empty." The reason for many confusions and fights is the words of our tongue.

 

Yes, our words can encourage someone and keep them working. The same words can hurt someone who is working well and make them tired of not working. Why, they can make them leave everything and run away. We can waste our time by talking about unnecessary things. We can make ourselves hostile to God by saying proud words. This tongue can also tell God's love to others. We need to examine how our words are. The mouth speaks out of the abundance of our heart. If our heart is filled with unnecessary bitterness and pride, our tongue will also speak the same. Our whole body will be corrupted.

 

The Bible says that the tongue is also a fire, and a small fire can set a great forest on fire. The words of our tongue can destroy our body and the lives of others. It can set the wheel of life on fire and throw us into the fire of hell. We should be careful about the tongue, which is a small part of our body. But the words of our Lord Jesus Christ were full of grace. The people of that time were amazed at this. Many came to seek Him, were set free, and glorified God.

 

Dear readers, let us control our tongue with God's help, use it wisely, and save our body from the punishment of hell. If we guard our hearts, we can control our tongues. Solomon the wise man says, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life." Let us guard our tongues. Let us guard our lives.
