The Lord is Our Healer

 

“…for I am the LORD that healeth thee” - Exod. 15:26

 

A week after I joined LKG, I fell down while playing at school. I hurt my head, and the doctor had to put stitches. Then one day while I was playing at home, I had a fit (seizures). My parents took me to the doctor. I took medicine for nine years. Many times, I wondered, “Will I ever be fully healed?”. One day when I was in seventh grade, I suddenly had fits (seizures), and my right hand went numb and couldn’t feel anything. I prayed to Jesus to help me and let that feeling return to my hand again and slept. After a while, I got up and moved my right hand, I felt the feeling again it was completely normal! None of my parents, my three brothers, or my family knew about this incident. I testify to the glory of God. From that day until today, I have never had a fit(seizures). Jesus heard my prayer and healed me. Glory to God!

 

Luke 8:43-48 tells the story of a woman who had been suffering from a severe illness for twelve years. She had seen many doctors and taken many medicines, but she was not cured. She had spent all her wealth and had given up medicine. No man could heal her. When she heard about Jesus and the miracles he performed and the way he healed the sick, she believed in Jesus. In Matthew 9:21, she decided in her heart, “If I just touch his clothes, I will get well.” She decided and touched Jesus’ clothes and received healing.

 

My dear friends, Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross for us and took our diseases upon himself. During his ministry, he healed those who came to him. The one who healed the woman who had a severe illness for 12 years will heal you too. Let us pray to Him with faith. “Be of good cheer, your faith has saved you” (Matt. 9:22). “Blessed is she who believed” (Luke 1:45). “This is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith” (1 John 5:4). Jesus, let us believe that only You can heal me. Jesus will surely heal me. Amen.
