God Who Supported You

 

“…Fear not; I will help thee” - Isaiah 41:13

 

In a village, a widow lived alone with her two children. They had no one to help them, and they struggled even to find food. One day, the mother lost all hope. She went to a shop and bought poison, thinking that ending their lives was the only way. When she returned home and was about to consume the poison, she suddenly heard a voice saying, “Do not be afraid, I will help you.” She was shocked and looked around, wondering where the voice came from. Just then, someone knocked on the door. When she opened the door, a man with food was standing at the door. When she asked him, "Who are you?" He said, "I was praying in a nearby church." At that time, God said, "Take the food and go to the place I tell you." And so, I came here. Hearing that, the mother was surprised and thanked him with tears. Then he said, "Continue to pray to God." Then when he told them about Jesus, they accepted Jesus as their personal Savior. Then they began to tell many people the gospel. Their lives became a blessing.

 

There was also a woman named Lydia in the Bible. This woman, who did not know Jesus, heard Paul's preaching and accepted the Lord as her personal Savior. She became a God fearing woman. She not only converted after hearing the gospel, but she also led her household to salvation. Because Lydia opened her heart to the word of the Lord, she did not only receive the blessing but her entire household received the blessing of salvation.

 

Dear friends, when we help people who are suffering in tears, sickness, or struggles and when we use that opportunity to share Jesus with them, their families too can receive salvation. He is a God who hears the cry of the oppressed. Salvation belongs to the Lord, and He is kind enough to save anyone. No matter who we are, whether we are poor, orphaned, or abandoned, there is no doubt that the Lord will support us in all our situations.
