Uncommon miracle 

 

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” - Ecclesiastes 3:11

 

This is the testimony shared by a seasoned minister of Christ. He had a son who was a brilliant student from the beginning. He passed with a very good percentage in his 12th class. They anticipated that he would get an MBBS seat, but he did not get it. With vexation the son said, “My parents are doing ministry with difficulty. God could have helped me to get a seat for medicine.” But his father said firmly, “Whatever God does, He does it for good.” Later the son got a seat in Medical Research Centre. He completed his course and secured a job. Then he began to upgrade his qualification. He is qualified as a higher official in Delhi. It is up to him to sanction the medicines to be imported. Moreover, he holds worship service in his home on Sundays. One day he said to his father, “God has done good to me by not giving me MBBS seat. If I had got the seat, I would have remained just as an ordinary doctor. Now many doctors with MBBS and MS degree work under me. I conduct interviews for job candidates. God never makes mistakes in anyone’s life. His every move is for our own good and for our ultimate good. He gives the best for us.” 

 

In the 4th chapter of the gospel of Matthew, Jesus was tempted by the devil. The tempter asked Jesus to command the stones to become bread and to throw himself down. The devil may make us think, “We lead a life pleasing to God. We have been doing ministry. Then how is it that things are not happening as we wish? Yes, this is how devil will discourage us and remind us of crooked ways. But we must remember the reply given to satan by Jesus. Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” and by every work performed miraculously by Him. 

 

Beloved in Christ, when things go against our wish and plan, we must not lose heart. With unwavering faith and whole heart, we must accept that it is not our wish but God’s will that is done. He is the master of our lives. We do not belong to us. We are His valuable possessions. He never makes mistakes in the life of anyone. He never delays. So, let us run our race patiently and with anticipation. But it is sure and certain that He gives us the best.
