Simple Truth

 

“And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house” - Acts 16:31

 

A man wanted to know how many miles he had travelled while riding his bicycle. So, he bought a device to measure the distance. But it was difficult to attach it to his bicycle. So, he took it back to the shop where he bought it. The shopkeeper attached the device to his bicycle in no time and put it to work. Then he realized that what he thought was a difficult job was not difficult if the right people did it.

 

We too think it is difficult to be freed from our sins and become a child of God. But Acts 16:31 says, "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." How simple is this?

 

We have all sinned and are separated from God. But the God who made us came to this earth in the name of “Jesus.” (Matthew 1:21) He says that He would take away our sins and save us. The Bible says that He bore our sins on the cross and rose from the dead. In this way, God so loved the world that He gave Himself for us that we might not perish but have eternal life, through our faith in what Jesus Christ did for us.

 

Dear Beloved! Think about how easy it is for us to believe in Jesus Christ. Will we thank Jesus Christ for loving us and washing us from our sins with His blood and making us kings and queens? So let us confess this way. God, I know that I am a sinner. I do things that are wrong in Your sight. I believe that You sent Jesus to earth to die on the cross for my sins. I believe that only through Him can my sins be forgiven! When we confess our sins, the blood of Jesus Christ will cleanse us from all sin. We will be free from sin and receive the joy of salvation. Amen.
