Give Lord First Place

 

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” - Matthew 6:33

 

There was a man who owned a supermarket. Every Sunday, he would close his shop and go to church faithfully. But some of his customers came to him and said, “Sir, Sunday is our only holiday. If you open your shop that day, it will help us a lot.” The owner thought about it and finally decided to stop going to church and open the shop on Sundays. At first, business was booming, the shop was always crowded and the sales were great. But slowly, people began to buy things on credit. Profits dropped, and before long, the shop started to lose money. Eventually, he had to close it down completely

 

Today, many people listen to others and give importance to worldly things. But when we see in the Bible, it says, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Even when the law was issued that no God should be worshipped except the king, Daniel continued to pray as he had done before. In the land where Daniel was taken as a slave, he was elevated to one of the three principal rulers of the entire land. The name of the Lord was glorified in that land.

 

Similarly, when we spend the first few hours of our lives at the feet of the Lord, the Lord will be glorified in our lives. When we give importance to the things of the Lord such as reading the Bible, praying, church work, and things that benefit the soul, the Lord will command elevation in our lives and make us see good things.

 

Dear All! Do you find yourself without blessings in your life? When our first and entire love is for the Lord, the Lord will automatically come first. When we give such first place, God will definitely elevate us. The God who commanded elevation in the life of Daniel is also able to command elevation in our lives. Let us not only seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness but also train our families and our descendants.
