Hello, my dear little ones! How are you all? Every week you listen to these stories, right? But remember don’t just listen, try to live according to what you learn. Okay, kids?

 

A farmer in England had horses. He named them 'Patty', 'Casey', and 'Bailey'. Just like how your parents lovingly call you by cute nicknames, Ammu, Pattu similarly he had sweet names for his horses too! In the evening, the farmer was sitting at the front door of his house. A person came running nervously from afar. The farmer made him sit down and brought him hot tea. Tell me, what is the matter with you? He asked why you are so nervous?

 

On my way from London, my car fell into a small ditch. I heard that you have horses. Please help me, he asked. Immediately, the farmer took some ropes and other tools and hurried to the spot. See kids, how quick he was to help someone in need! You should also be ready to help others just like that! The farmer tied the car tightly with the rope and tied the horse to the other end. Then he shouted, “Casey, pull fast!”, “Bailey, come on, you too!”, “Patty, my dear, now it’s your turn pull hard!”. The car came up. The car driver did not understand anything. There is only one horse, you have called out three names." He said, "My dear, Patty is blind. If she thought she was pulling all alone, she might have been afraid or lost her strength. So I called out the other names to give her courage to make her feel she wasn’t alone." He said, "Thank you very much for your help." Then he patted the horse and said, "Very good, you are a useful horse for your master!" When he said, "Very good," the horse nodded its head as if it understood everything.

 

Dear little ones, Just as Patty obeyed her master’s voice and found strength and courage, the Word of God gives us much greater power when we listen and obey it. If you read it, meditate on it, love it and live accordingly, your life will become very bright.
