Do Not Have an Inferiority Complex

 

“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” - Philippians 4:4

 

Beautiful fruit trees, delicious fruits, and the sound of birds singing everywhere. What would it be like if you were left in this beautiful garden? Wouldn't you have fun eating fruits and admiring the trees? While you enjoy so many fruit trees, have you ever enjoyed a thornbush? Nobody usually admires that!

 

Once, in a desert, there was a thorn bush. Looking around at everything else, it felt discouraged. “Alas! There is no one worse than me. Above me the sun’s rays fall like fiery arrows. From every side hot winds blow. A little farther away there are some half-grown shrubs, and still farther some green patches where sheep graze. Why should I alone have such a worthless life? If only I had grown in a king’s palace as a rose plant or a grapevine! I could have given delicious grapes and sweet wine to delight people. A gardener would have lovingly cared for me every day. But alas, I’ve ended up as a mere thorn bush. Not even a little bird will build its nest on my branches,” it sighed.

 

Just then, Brother Moses was tending his father-in-law’s sheep in that very desert. Suddenly he saw a thorn bush burning with fire. Moses was astonished, “How is this thorn bush burning in the middle of the wilderness where no one is around?” As he went closer, God appeared in that burning bush and spoke to Moses. From that very thorn bush—yes, the one that despised itself—the great command for Israel’s deliverance came forth!

 

Dear brothers and sisters, do you also think sometimes: “I am ordinary, I’m useless, I’m not beautiful, I’m not wise. I am poor. If only I had been born in a rich family, how well I would have grown up! If only I were like that person or this person, then I would have no worries”? Maybe if there was a tool that could see the memories of others, you would see that he is also dissatisfied with himself like you. So learn to live happily with Jesus Christ in any situation. Okay?...
