Unbelief

 

"Without faith it is impossible to please God..." - Hebrews 11:6

 

A poor family was struggling with poverty. One day, they were hungry and suffering without anything to eat, their father instilled faith in his children by telling them how God had fed Elijah through ravens.

 

That night, because it was very snowy, the mother closed the windows and doors and put the children to bed. The hungry child woke up and came to his mother and said, "Mom, I have a doubt. Will the One who fed Elijah with a raven not feed us? When he sends a raven to feed us like that, how can it come into our house if the window of our house is closed? We will not be able to receive the bread and meat that the Lord gives us." The mother, amazed by her child's faith, opened the window and door. At that time, a mayor who had been sheltering outside the house because of the rain was listening to the conversation inside the house. His heart melted, he immediately ran and bought a lot of food and put it through the window. Hearing the sound, the children ran and took the food parcel that was there and ate. After eating, they gave thanks to the Lord with great joy.

 

We know the man of God named Enoch, who was included in the list of believers. He was taken up so that he would not see death while he was walking with God. Before he was taken, he received testimony that he pleased God. The Bible says whoever comes to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

 

My beloved people of God! Our faith is the victory that overcomes the world. All things are possible to him who believes. Unbelief is something that is not pleasing to God. We read many verses in the Bible about faith like this. If we want to grow in faith, we must completely abandon unbelief. Practice keeping the window of "faith" open. Let us entrust ourselves to the Lord to intercede with us and let His hand work in our lives. et us run the race set before us with patience, looking to Jesus—the author and finisher of our faith.
