Ears That Hear the Voice

 

“Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD” - Psalm 34:11

 

After I saw Jesus Christ crying, whenever I went to crowded places like bus stands and markets, I could still hear the crying sound in my ears. Whenever that happened, I would say, “Jesus, don’t cry; I am here.” It was to wipe away the tears of Father Jesus Christ that the Village Missionary Movement ministry was started.

 

But today, people do not have an open mind that God will speak when they pray and read the Bible. Even in the Bible, the congregation gathers and prays for Peter who was imprisoned. Peter is miraculously freed by the Lord and comes knocking on the door. A woman named Rhoda hears that sound and announces that Peter is standing in front of the door. Immediately everyone says, "You are crazy." Because they did not hear the sound of knocking on the door. Peter is in prison; it seems that she is saying it regardless of how he knocks.

 

Our God still lives today and will speak to us. Therefore, we must be ready to hear His voice. With care, among those who gathered to pray, only a woman named Rhoda had her ears open, and she heard the knock on the door and knew that it was Peter. Yes, we can inherit miracles only when we listen to the voice of God and act. When Moses led the people of Israel towards Canaan, when shortcomings and needs arose, Moses went to God. He listened to what He said and did. Then, miraculously, their shortcomings and needs were met, and they moved forward.

 

Beloved, we pray for revival, for ourselves, for the church. But we need Rhoda like people who will hear His voice. First, we must hear His voice. Our God does not show favoritism, but one who sees our hearts. If you seek Him with all your heart, He will speak to you. For this, like Rhoda, we must have ears open to hear. When we hear His voice, we will understand the longing of His heart. That motivation can make us act. Therefore, let us ask the Lord for an open ear to hear His voice.
