Little Hero

 

"…for God loveth a cheerful giver" - 2 Cor. 9:7

 

Hello kids, you must have gone to the beach and enjoyed the sea, playing in the waves and had a great time. Who doesn't like the sea? Everyone likes it! Even Jesus preached a lot on the beach and in the mountains when he lived on this earth. I also like these places very much, kids. Crowds of people who saw the miracles of Jesus kept coming in search of Him. Wherever Jesus went to mountains, seashores, or villages there were children, young people, and elders following Him, hoping to receive something good.

 

In that crowd, a little boy was sitting there, listening to the words that Jesus was speaking, forgetting the food he had brought. Then he heard a voice asking, "Do you have anything to eat?" He immediately gave the food in his bag to Andrew, a disciple of Jesus. You wouldn't even want to give your favourite snacks to your friends, would you? This little boy loves fish. But still he gave it to Jesus. There were 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish in it. Jesus patted him on the shoulder and told everyone to sit in a row. Then he took the loaves, gave thanks, and gave them to the disciples. They took it and started to distribute them to the people and guess what? The bread and fish start multiplying. What a surprise! There were about 5,000 men. The women and children were not counted. Probably more than 10,000 must have eaten to their hearts' content. They even took 12 baskets full of leftovers.

 

The people who saw this glorious miracle put more faith in Jesus. Like the boy who gave his all to Jesus in the crowd of people who came to receive something from Jesus, you too can give yourself to Jesus. And make Jesus happy by giving him the money, talent, or time you have saved, my dear kids.!
