God's Family
“For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh” - Ephesians 5:31
A couple named Shekhar and Mala lived in a city. Shekhar was a graduate. He lived in a rural environment and studied at a nearby college. He was currently working in a bank and earning a good salary. Since his wife Mala had studied and grown up in the city, Shekhar felt inferior when he saw Mala's dress, manners, and fluent English. This led to frequent fights and misunderstandings between the two. Shekhar would find fault with whatever Mala did. One day they both got a good idea. Accordingly, they went to a counselor and shared the reasons for their lack of peace and found a solution for it. Only when Shekhar understood the danger of inferiority complex and Mala's true love did their lives take a turn and they lived happily.
In the beginning, God created all creation. The Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils. Man became a living being. Then the Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him." Accordingly, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. According to the word, "What God has joined together, let no man separate," we are called to submit to each other and create a godly offspring in the world according to God's law.
Dear Moksha Payanam readers! Inferiority complex in our families can occur for many reasons. We can go on and on about education, parental status, economic inequality, social status, height, color, weight, disabilities, salary difference between couples, and many other reasons. Our adversary will create a sense of inferiority among us. But let us not give in to such things but let us pray daily before God and correct ourselves. The main reason for division in many families is the inability to forgive and the lack of compromise. If we, who have been redeemed by the blood of Christ, forgive, compromise, and live in love with each other, we will receive a testimony that we are "the family of Jesus".
