Make use of your time

 

“Redeeming the time, because the days are evil” - Ephesians 5:16

 

Hello, kids! Have you ever seen farming? We are going to watch a story about that. Michael and Mallika were farmers who worked hard to run their family. They had one daughter, Vinci. They raised their daughter very dearly and in the Lord. Vinci would memorize many verses from a young age.

 

Days passed, Vinci grew up and became big. Now she has reached 12th Standard. She has matured to the point where she can read on her own without the help of her parents. Not only that, she has also started to deceive her parents. She would always be busy when she woke up in the morning. When her mother came, she would quickly open the Bible or have a textbook in her hand. Her mother would also believe that her child was studying. In this way, she was deceiving her parents every day. Not only that, even when she went to school, she would keep her book open as if she was studying and chatting with her friends. When the teacher came, she would act like she was studying. So, she was very backward in her studies.

 

The Plus 2 full-year exam was coming. Now she and her friends were ready for the exam and went to the exam hall to write. Vinci, who took the question paper in her hand, did not know anything. She wrote something and returned home. After a couple of months, the results came. It turned out that everyone in that school had passed except Vinci. She was the only one who failed. And since they all went to other towns for higher studies, they made new friends. So, they started leaving Vinci. One day, she went to see her school friends to talk to them. But they did not recognize her. They were having fun with their new friends. It was then that Vinci realized her mistake. She was very sorry that she had not only deceived her parents or teachers, but that she had wasted her days by deceiving herself. Thinking that she had not realized the hardships of her parents, she cried bitterly and apologized to her parents. She started studying well again.

 

Dear younger sister, are you also studying like this Vinci and are you wasting your time by watching mobile phones and T.V., deceiving your parents? If you are like that, then stop it now. Remember that you are not deceiving them, but you are deceiving yourself. Study well, don’t waste your time. O.K. kids!
