Jesus is the Answer

 

"…and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God" - Daniel 3:25

 

Albert Einstein’s driver once told him, “I’ve listened to your lectures so many times that I can now deliver them beautifully myself.” In those days, there was no TV or internet connection like we have today, so very few people had seen Einstein in person. Einstein then suggested to his driver, “Let’s swap roles — you give the lecture today instead of me.” The driver agreed and went on stage to deliver an excellent lecture. After he finished and sat down with relief, someone in the audience said, “We would like to ask a few questions.” He answered a couple of questions but then came a very difficult question. The driver, not missing a beat, replied, “Sir, you’re such a distinguished professor — I’m surprised you’re asking such a simple question, one that even my driver could answer!” Einstein, who was actually disguised as the driver, then answered the question and saved the situation.

 

Daniel's three friends were caught in a difficult moment. The king threatened to throw them into a fiery furnace if they did not worship the golden image he had made. "Who is the God who will deliver you from my hands?" he asked. Daniel's friends refused to bow down, so they were thrown into the fiery furnace. But Jesus Christ himself walked with them in the fire as an angel, protected them from harm, and answered the king's question in an undeniable way.

 

My dear friends! Sometimes in our lives, we may feel that circumstances are getting out of hand. There may even be situations where we think that everything is over and that is all. Daniel’s friends stood with God, saying that the God we worship is able to deliver us, and even if He does not deliver us, we will not worship the golden image. We must have faith that Jesus Christ will answer for us in the problems that we cannot overcome. Then, just as the king glorified God, saying that there is no other God who can save us, God will be glorified through us. Even if there are situations like fire and brimstone, He will be our place. Amen!
