Miracle Tree

 

“…but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life” - John 4:14

 

Baobab Tree - This is a miracle tree. What is so miraculous about this tree? If we take its height, it can be from 16 to 98 feet. The miracle is that the inside of the base of the tree is hollow like bamboo and is full of water. Do you know how much water? The capacity of a large baobab tree is 1,20,000 litres! Moreover, it is kept safe so that not a single drop of water evaporates during the hot summer season. There are other useful nutrients in the water. During droughts, the poor people of Madagascar - Africa benefit from its water. When the top of the tree dries up, many villages use the base of the tree as a water tank.

 

Just like this tree, if the living water Jesus Christ, the fountain of eternal life, is to keep flowing within us daily, then we must read the Bible every single day. We must meditate on His words. We must remain rooted daily in our relationship with the Lord, just as the roots of this tree absorb water. Likewise, we should be seen as those who draw in the Word of God every day. If we live this way, the Holy Spirit will fill us. Just as the water in this tree quenches the thirst of many, we too will be seen as people who quench the spiritual thirst of many.

 

Just as God split the rock and gave water to the Israelites when they were thirsty, in the same way, the spring of life will flow from us who drink the water of life from the rock, Jesus Christ. It will quench the thirst of many. That is why Jesus Christ said, "The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." Therefore, let us always be filled with the Holy Spirit. Let us strive to enter into eternal life. Let us give the water of life, Jesus Christ, to those who are thirsty. Let us try our best to reach others with the gospel and let us pray for it. Let us serve while working. Let us share the water of life, Jesus Christ, among our friends and those who work with us in some way. May the Lord Himself bless us.
