Ask and it will be given
"...ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full" - John 16:24
I was born into a family that did not know Christ and grew up with great religious devotion. During my youth days, Stella was one of our friends. Whenever she opened her mouth, she would only say "thank you to praise God." I would not like her and would tease her. Similarly, whenever Christians came to our town to preach about Jesus, I would get angry. Then I got married, and my husband is also very devout. We would go to temple after temple and worship. Once, he went to a temple in another town and his return was delayed for several days. There was no facility to contact him immediately as we have today. I was sitting at the door of my house with my two children in tears. At that time, a sister near our house invited us to a prayer meeting that was being held at her house, and I went and sat down without thinking. I prayed for my husband to come home soon. At the end of the meeting, I felt peace of mind. The next morning, my husband came home. My faith in Jesus Christ was born.
Time passed by and one day he became unwell. As a result, he lost his job. In this situation, the song "Your Sorrow Will Be Turned to Joy" sung at a Christian meeting near our house touched me deeply. Even though I did not know how to pray, I told my husband that if we asked Jesus, we would definitely get a job, so I said to him that we would pray and that the “Lord would do us good”. So, we prayed together, and the Lord gave my husband good health. He also got a job that he knew. We both accepted the Lord and were baptized. We went to church and started worshiping the Lord. Since 2005, the Lord has blessed me with the grace to serve with the Village Missionary Movement for 20 years. I used to mock the servants of God, saying, "They just left for ministry with their bags." Today, I am serving the Lord with the same bag.
Dear friends! Are you also in a situation of despair? Tell Him your worries, burdens, and needs. The Lord who met me and answered my prayer will surely hear your prayer and answer it and make you happy. Nothing is impossible for Him. He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Your life will change, Hallelujah.
