God Who Guides

 

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go..." - Psalm 32: 8

 

Dear friends! I would like to share with you a personal testimony how the Lord protected the blessing in my life that I was about to lose due to my carelessness and a little foolishness.

 

During my theological college days, one morning I received a call on my mobile. I answered it, and the caller introduced himself as the manager of my bank. He said the bank was upgrading the account to digital services and told me that I would receive an OTP on my phone, and I should tell him the number. Without much thought, I read out the OTP that came to my phone. Just then, the bell rang indicating the start of class. At that moment, the Lord gently reminded me: “What time is it now? Would a bank call you at 9 in the morning?” That question snapped me back to awareness. I immediately asked the Lord for forgiveness, got permission from my professor, and rushed to the bank by auto-rickshaw.

 

At that time, I only had money for my son's tuition fees in my bank account. If that money was taken out, I would not be able to pay the tuition fees for that year. Due to my ignorance and carelessness, I had given my bank details myself, what should I do now? I went to the bank praying that God would help me. By the Lord's great grace, no money was withdrawn from my account until I went to the bank. The bank staff immediately fixed everything so that no one else could withdraw money, gave me a new ATM card, and sent me away with instructions. Thus, my son's tuition fees were saved and paid that year by the grace of God.

 

Many times, no matter how much awareness the government provides, no matter how much advice others give, we seem to forget and act carelessly, like fools, even in the things that the Lord makes us aware of. "Before they call, I will answer; while they are yet speaking, I will hear." (Isaiah 65:24) The Lord protects, teaches, and guides us. If you listen to His voice in your life, receive His guidance, and follow His counsel, our path will be straight and blessed. Amen.
