I think back and reflect

 

"Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow…" - Heb. 13:7

 

I, Balamurugan, was born and raised in a family background that did not know the Lord. When I was studying, it was my custom to go to the temples near my house on Tuesdays and Fridays to worship. During my school years, I used to sit and study with my friends in the temple near my house. One day, a friend of mine told me there was a prayer meeting happening in a house on the next street and invited me to join. The teacher who taught me education was the one who was conducting it. I was touched by the word of God spoken there. I continued to go to that prayer group. It was during this period that Brother David Ganesan and I, who were from the same town, were saved.

 

Around that time my elder sister was hospitalized due to constant headaches and was scheduled to undergo surgery. At that time, while praying for them, a pastor spoke prophetically, saying, "Your prayer has been heard in my presence. I will heal you without surgery." True to that word, she was miraculously healed without surgery. This healing strengthened my faith. God helped me overcome many problems in my life through prayer.

 

Whenever David Ganesan see’s me working in a private company despite God revealing my calling to ministry through a dream, he would jokingly say, "I think you will only return to ministry if your company closes down, just as God shook the ship to send Jonah to Nineveh." Eventually, when the situation arose that my company, which was doing well, was to close, I decided that I could no longer resist God's plan, and the Lord gave me the grace to dedicate myself to full-time ministry and join the village missionary movement.

 

When I look back on my life, I thank the people who led me to Christ, the friend who took me to the prayer meeting, my spiritual teacher, my pastor, and my brother David Ganesan who gave me the burden of ministry, made me taste the love of God. How many people in your life can you praise like this? Remember them, thank them, and pray for them. May you become people who lead others to God.
