"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?..." - Matthew 16:26

 

John Smith, "My heart breaks when I see souls perishing. If I cannot see souls saved, there is no point in living. Lord, give souls or I perish." This man of God would cry out and pray.

 

The country we live in is a land full of devotion. Those of us who live in this country should have a thought for the souls who are not saved. People torment themselves by saying that their sins should be washed away, their virtues should be earned, and their salvation should be attained. When we see this, our hearts should be broken. God, who died and rose again for them, is able to give the forgiveness of sins that people seek freely to those who come to Him with love. He is the only way to salvation. When we see people striving through suffering for something that is freely given by God, our hearts must ache with compassion. Because the soul is precious. Even if someone gains the whole world, it is of no use if they do not find the way to eternal life. Nothing can be given in exchange for a soul. We are all appointed to be born once and to die once, after that comes judgment. Come to the cross to have your soul saved and to receive redemption.

 

Jesus Christ Himself accepted the punishment you deserve for your sins on the cross, He is eager to take not only your sins, but also your sorrows, worries, tears, and weaknesses. He died and rose again to give you free salvation from sin. Come to me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Have you not received salvation yet? Let us go to him today and receive free salvation. Amen.
