How is the witness?
"...The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way..." - Gen. 24:40
Dear people of God! A senior pastor sent his assistant, saying, "Brother! Go to the neighbouring village and pray at the house of a sister named Mary and come back." The assistant who went to that village did not know who Sister Mary was. So, he stood near a water tap to ask someone for directions. An argument broke out at the water tap and after a while, when the situation calmed down, the assistant asked a sister who had come to draw water, which house was Sister Mary's. The sister immediately asked how long it had been since you came here. When the assistant said that he had come when the fight started, they said that she was the one who had been fighting for so long, and that she was the one you asked about, Mary. Look at what a witness!
Eliezer, a servant with Abraham, testifies about his master Abraham. God has made my master a rich man and blessed him in everything. God has made my master prosperous. He has blessed him in all things. My master is careful not to let his son marry a Canaanite woman who does not know the Lord. When Eliezer asked if the vision failed, Abraham said, "My God, whom I serve, will send his angel and make the matter successful."
People of God, what kind of testimonies do the people around us give about us? Was that quarrelsome Mary? Or Was that peaceful Mary? We should pay attention to our prayer life, reading the Bible, obeying God and turning away from evil, etc.
When I lived a life without Jesus, the testimonies about me were inconsistent. But after Jesus came into my life, a relative of mine said to me, "Jesus has changed you and your life." He said this after seeing the change in me. Is your testimony like Eliezer gave about his master Abraham? Or is it like the testimony about the quarrelsome Mary who drew water from the pipe. Let's think about it. The good testimony that others give about us is very important. May the Lord Himself bless us! Amen.
