Do not trust a traitor

 

"Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint" - Prov. 25:19

 

A snake and a frog living by a river decided to live together as friends. So to ensure this unity, they planned to go to the other side of the river together. The condition was that the snake should carry the frog. They both set off. The frog sat in the snake's mouth. When they were a short distance from reaching the other side of the riverbank, only the frog's mouth and eyes were visible. Realizing that his life was in danger, the frog, trembling, asked the snake, "Brother! Are you going to swallow me?" To this, the snake said, "There is no other way for us to live together," and swallowed the frog.

 

Beloved children of God! Today we often talk about love, unity, and togetherness. But do we really practice them in our lives? The Bible says that trusting a traitor in times of danger is like a broken tooth and a broken leg. The nature of a snake is to eat a frog. The snake is a traitor to a frog forever. Without knowing this properly, the frog made friends with the snake. The frog, trusting the snake, continued his journey and lost his life.

 

My dear son! My dear daughter! How is your friendship with those you have met today? Because you make friends without knowing their qualities, you are ultimately pushed into a pitiful situation.

 

King Solomon knew foreign women well, but he continued his relationship with them. Do you know what happened? King Solomon's wives led him towards idolatry. Despite receiving God's warning, he did not return to God. Therefore, he lost the right to rule 10 of his 12 tribes. Dear people of God! If we are not vigilant and alert in the friendship of this world, then in the end, we will end up crying brother! sister! but the end can be pitiful. We should discern who we are and who others are and make friends. If we fail to discern, it is pitiful! Amen.
