Good even in Evil

 

"For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him" – Rom 10:12

 

Some farmers were working in a village. Then the sky darkened. In a short time, lightning and thunder struck. Hearing the terrible sound of thunder, the farmers were frightened and ran and took shelter in a nearby old and abandoned building. It was raining for a long time. One of the farmers, who was trembling with fear, said, "There is a great sinner among us, and that’s why God is sending terrible thunder and lightning. Therefore, if we send that one sinner out, all the others can live."

 

Since no one wanted to accuse another, they decided to hold their hats out in the rain to let fate decide. Suddenly, lightning struck one of the farmers hat and burned it to ashes. They immediately decided that he was the sinner and caught the man and threw him out. The farmer ran away crying and getting wet in the rain. Then the thunder struck the building and was destroyed to the ground. God protected others through that farmer. But without knowing it, they judged a man and in the end they themselves were destroyed. The evil they did for him turned out well for him.

 

Similarly, in the Bible, Joseph's brothers threw him into a pit and then sold him into slavery. But Joseph, after many hardships, was promoted to the ruler of the whole land of Egypt. Later, when his brothers came to see Joseph, Joseph accepted them and said, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good."

 

Dear brothers and sisters! Are you also considered insignificant and ignored by others? Do your parents say that there has been no blessing in our family since you were born? Do the people in the house you entered say that there has been poverty in the family since you set foot in it? Don't worry. God will turn everything that seems bad in your life into good.
