There is a Reward for Hard Work

 

"The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust" - Ruth 2:12

 

A king was traveling in his chariot through the forest. Two wild horses came along that way. After a few days, the king's servant took the horses to the palace and trained them. One horse escaped because the training was difficult. After a few days, the grass dried up without rain. The horse's body became thin. But the other horse in the royal palace was fat and happy. He devoted himself to hard training and became healthy.

 

In the Bible, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were people with knowledge, wisdom, and good physique. They decided to worship only their God. Because of this, they faced trials like the fiery furnace. But they stood firm, trusting that God could deliver them and even if He didn’t, they would still not bow. As a result, all the people in that kingdom, upto the king, came to know God. If they had turned back in fear after seeing the fiery furnace, that kingdom would not have known the Lord. Yes, those who stand firm for the Lord without turning back when they see tribulation and temptation are still needed today. When Jesus Christ lived in this world, he said, "There will be tribulation in the world, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." Christ, who conquered the world, has placed the power of victory in us, his children. Therefore, he encourages us that we too can overcome the suffering, pain, afflictions, and illnesses that come in this world.

 

Dear readers! Those who are ready to endure anything for Christ in this world are shining like stars. Many missionaries stood firm for Christ even in tribulation. Let us also stand boldly for Christ. Let us dedicate ourselves to paying the price for it. Let us never forget that all the effort we make for Christ in this world has a reward in this world and the next. Therefore, let us run with enthusiasm and not get tired. Hallelujah.
