The Reason for Transformation

 

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" - Matthew 5:16

 

In a village called Attenburgh in South Africa, there lived a cruel man. He was a murderer. The government issued a notice that a reward would be given to those who killed him and brought his head. So many people went to catch him and kill him. That cruel man killed them all. During this time, a man named Robert Moffat went to that village to preach. He built a hut in that village, stayed there, and taught stories to young children. The children who came to listen to such stories were dusty and had scabies. He bathed them, cleaned them, and washed their clothes. Seeing this, that cruel and murderous man repented. He read the Bible and repented completely, received forgiveness from the government, and became a new man.

 

Dear people of God, what does the verse above mean? Matt. 5:16, Many may see your good deeds and believe in and worship the heavenly Father. Did the man of God above give a Bible lesson to that cruel murderer? He did not meet him, but rather, the man who observed every action of that man of God came forward, bought the Bible, and completely changed from his old life.

 

My dear children of God, many people live around us. They watch over us every day. How do we express God's love wherever we live, study, or work? What are our actions? If our conduct and actions are like that of Robert Moffat, others will come to know and accept our God.. Good deeds will bring a bigger change than teaching. May all our actions today become good deeds. May the Lord bless you. Amen.
