Submit to God’s Will

 

"...I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it" - Isaiah 46:11

 

I would like to share with you the miracle that God did in the life of my eldest son. After completing his undergraduate studies in college, he had planned to continue his postgraduate studies in the same college. However, on the day of the entrance exam, due to some unexpected hindrances, he couldn't reach the exam hall on time. He was completely dejected. As he stood there, disappointed, one of his friends who had just finished writing the exam came out and said, Jesus has planned something greater for you. He also came quietly and shared this matter with me. In the following days, God blessed him by making him pursue higher studies better than he expected and fulfilling His plan in his life.

 

Many times we think that everything should happen according to our plan, according to our wishes. Even if they are good, honest, and right things, we get very frustrated when things do not happen according to our wishes. But when things happen according to God’s plan, our lives become more beautiful than we imagined.

 

In Genesis chapters 39 and 40, we meditate on the life of Joseph. He lived as a favourite son with his father, and had to go through some unexpected difficult situations because of God’s plan in his life. When he was imprisoned for 11 years without any reason, Joseph interprets the dream of the cupbearer who was there. When he is released and returns to work, he tells Pharaoh about himself and asks to be released. But the cupbearer forgets about it for two years. If he had told Pharaoh, he might have called Joseph, interrogated him, and sent him back to the land of Israel. But that was not God’s plan. God wanted Joseph to be the ruler of the entire land of Egypt. Our God wants to keep us in a better position than we want. Because His love is greater than love.

 

Beloved children of God! God has a clear plan for our lives. Therefore, we should not be discouraged by some things and circumstances that seem to be going against us. When we surrender our lives to His will and live, God can implement His plan in us.
