Am I worthy?

 

"...the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word…" - 1 Samuel 3:21

 

A man on horseback came looking for the father of a 12-year-old Chinese boy named Manasi. His father, a pastor, was not at home, the man approached the boy and pleaded, “You must come and pray for a girl at my close friend’s house. She’s tearing her clothes, pulling out her hair, throwing things around, and hitting those nearby. No one has been able to help her. By the time your father returns, it might be too late. Please come… Aren’t you also a child of Jesus?”

 

Manasi went with Him because he had completely surrendered himself to Jesus. He kept praying all the way. "Am I worthy to be used by God? Is my heart pure? Are there any sins in me?" he went on, examining himself and praying. He realized that praying for the woman was God's will, and he obeyed God like "little Samuel." Knowing his arrival, the devil said, "Manasi, a man of God, is coming. Leave me alone. I will go away. I cannot meet him."

 

Manasi, who entered the house, prayed, "Lord, glorify your name," sang a song, knelt down and prayed, and commanded the demon to leave the woman in the name of Jesus. Immediately the demon left her. She was healed. Many who saw this began to cling to the Lord from that day on. The name of the Lord Jesus was glorified.

 

Dear beloved child of God reading this, do not think or say, “I have nothing to do with ministry,” or “I am not worthy,” or “I don’t know how to serve.” Our qualification comes from God. (2 Corinthians 3:5)

 

All of us who have been washed and cleansed from all sins by the blood of Jesus Christ are qualified to serve God. Even the man in the tomb who was freed from the legion of demons by Jesus had been given the "ministry of witness" to testify to his people. Therefore, if anyone names the name of Christ and purifies himself from unrighteousness, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified and useful to the Master, complete and prepared for every good work. Therefore, beloved! Let us serve as those who are cleansed by the blood of Jesus every day! Then the name "Jesus" will be glorified.
