I Will Take Care

 

"...I Will Take Care of You..." - Jeremiah 40:4

 

When the World Trade Center in New York was attacked on Sept. 11, her dog, Rosie, rescued her blind owner, Petey, through a secret passage. After saving her owner, Rosie went back inside and lost her life in the rubble. In gratitude for the food and protection she received, she rescued her owner safely.

 

A poor widow had only one son, a small boy. There was famine in the whole town. All she had in her house was a little flour and a little oil. How many days could she last with that flour and oil? One day, she decided that she would both die after eating these and then went to the entrance of the town of Zarephath to gather wood. How much her heart must have been troubled while gathering wood. There, according to God's command, the prophet Elijah came and asked her for a drink of water. He told the woman who was about to enter the house to bake a small cake. The widow explained her situation. She told the prophet Elijah that she and her son were going to bake a cake with this little flour and eat it and die. He said, "Bake it for me first." The widow mother obeyed. Even after she baked the cake, the flour in the pot did not reduce, and the oil in the jar did not reduce. She and her family ate to their hearts' content for many days.

 

Yes, beloved! Many times in our lives, this is the last moment, are you one of those who think that there is no way to live anymore? God is speaking to you. "I will take care of you" (Jeremiah 40:4). Don't worry, our God is still concerned about us today. He will replace all your losses, failures, and shortcomings and fill you with His abundant blessings. Why worry in vain when God takes care of us? Cast your burden and anxiety on the Lord and He will support you. Hallelujah!
