The one who revives the desolate

 

"...but my salvation shall be for ever..." - Isaiah 51:6

 

A severe warning was issued for the northern districts as Cyclone Fengal made landfall in Mahabalipuram. Winds were gusting at 70 to 90 kmph. As soon as Cyclone Fengal made landfall, rescue teams could only witness its horrific effects. Before the heavy rains of the storm and the terrible landslides caused by the rain in Tiruvannamalai, the rescue teams were unable to provide any help in the floods that engulfed the settlements in a minute as the lakes filled up.

 

But whenever we face the losses that come our way in our lives, God's words and promises are very reassuring. Isaiah 51:3 says that He will make the desolate places like the garden of the Lord. So no matter what kind of harm we face, our good will never be hindered.

 

We have troubles in the world. But because God, who builds up the desolate, is at our right hand, no matter how terrible the losses, Isaiah 51:6 says that “the salvation of God will endure forever.” Yes, our Lord can turn a wilderness into a field and a dry land into a fruitful field. So let us have faith in God.

 

Beloved! What kind of losses are you experiencing? Romans 4:13 says that Abraham received the promise that he would “inherit the world” through the righteousness that comes by faith. Let us also choose to believe in God's promises that "I will make the desolate things perfect" and inherit the salvation, freedom, and benefits that God gives us.! Amen.
