The Waiting God

 

"…The Lord will wait to have mercy on you,…” - Isaiah 30:18

 

Waiting is a difficult experience. Waiting is very necessary to be exalted and blessed by God. Waiting is necessary for the bud to blossom and the fruit to bear fruit. Waiting for the Lord's time is very necessary for the promises of God to be fulfilled in us

 

In the Bible, we know Abraham, the father of believers. When the Lord called Abraham, he was 75 years old. Then the Lord said to Abraham, "In you all the families of the earth will be blessed" (Genesis 12:3,4). Abraham also obeyed the Lord's word and waited 25 years before receiving the promised son, Isaac. (Genesis 21:5). Here we see that Abraham also waited. The Lord who called Abraham is also waiting to fulfill the promise. He may have faced many hardships while waiting for God's word. But he certainly knew that the Lord would not put him to shame. Yes, Abraham, who waited with faith, became the father of faith.

 

Beloved! The times and seasons of waiting will never be in vain. While we are waiting, the Lord examines us and makes us vessels worthy of the blessings He gives us. But those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not be weary, and they will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31) Yes, those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength. The Lord did not put Abraham to shame who waited. He will not put us to shame either. Because the one who promised is faithful. While we wait for Him, there may be delays, but it will never lapse. While waiting, questions of why and for what may certainly arise. But there is definitely an answer.
