Challenging Goals!!

 

"...Come, and let us go over to the Philistines' garrison, that is on the other side..." - 1 Samuel 14:1

 

A headmaster was teaching a lesson to the 5th grade students of a government primary school in the Tenkasi district of Tamil Nadu. He was teaching a lesson on airplanes and the Wright Brothers. At that time, some students asked mischievously, "Sir, when are we going to fly in an airplane?" The headmaster, who was not expecting this at all, was unable to answer and thought about it. But he took this as a challenge and told many of his friends and people in the village about this matter and collected money. On a particular day, he took 20 5th grade students from Madurai to Chennai by plane. Many praised the headmaster for doing such a challenging thing for the students at a government school.

 

In 1 Samuel 14, we see Jonathan’s challenging leadership and challenging goals. That is, he challenges and calls out to the enemy camp, even though he has only one armed young man with him. What happened? Jonathan and the armed man saw great success.

 

Beloved! Many leaders in the world are centered on name and fame. Many young men go below that. There is no challenging leadership, no challenging goals. I thank God for the challenging goals and leadership of the Village Missionary Movement. God has blessed our ministry with the grace to take on challenging goals that others hesitate to take on. Every goal in every village in Tamil Nadu, whether it is evangelism, youth camps, or village workers’ conferences, is challenging! We invite you to work together as a partner in this ministry with such challenging leadership and goals! Brother David Ganesan says, "In our ministry, the heroes are not individuals, but our goals." Yes, where there is no vision, people will go astray. There is no doubt that when there are high goals, our work will also move forward.
