He must increase

 

"He must increase, but I must decrease" - John 3:30

 

On the day before Jesus Christ was crucified, the painter of the painting called "The Last Supper" finished it very beautifully and asked his friends for their opinions on the painting. After seeing the beautiful painting, they praised the beautifully coloured lamp that adorned it and said, "What a beautiful lamp." If it were other painters, they would have been amazed by the praise, but he immediately removed the lamp from the painting. His whole idea was that everyone's attention should be on the Lord Christ, and nothing else should attract attention or seem superior to him. That is why we can see that the painting is without a lamp to this day.

 

In the New Testament, we read about John the Baptist. He did not perform any miracles or signs. But he boldly proclaimed Jesus Christ. He never revealed himself or put himself forward. In his preaching, he lived as a voice crying in the wilderness and preparing the way for the coming Messiah, Christ. Yes, Christ should be the main thing in our lives too.

 

Beloved, even today, so many missionaries, ministers, well-educated people, people in good jobs, have abandoned their studies, jobs, and high positions, and have dedicated themselves to the Lord, and have lived for Him without their name or fame coming out until today. We are still rejoicing in their light. Yes, we must hide ourselves to be glorified in God's work. Let us hide ourselves and exalt Him in all things! Let us live as true disciples of Christ.
