Faithful Prayer
"And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him" - James 5:15
There was a doctor named Mark in the United States. He had to go to another place to speak at a seminar. It was raining heavily that day, so flights were cancelled. But he had to go anyway. He rented a rental car and left. But because of the rain, the vehicle could not proceed beyond a certain town. So, the driver of the vehicle said, "Sir! It is dangerous for us to continue our journey. Let's see if we can stay here somewhere." He stopped the vehicle.
A light was seen in the distance. The doctor got out of the vehicle and knocked on the door of the house. A mother came and opened the door, invited him in, and welcomed him. Then, after telling him to rest in the hall, he went into a small room and started praying. The doctor looked into the room. There, a young man was lying in a very bad condition on a bed. The mother was praying nearby. As soon as they came out, the doctor asked, "Who is that person on that bed?" The mother said that he was my son who had been suffering from cancer for many years. Has he not been treated? He asked. There is a great doctor in America, but I cannot afford to take him ther. I am praying to the Lord and he will definitely help me," the mother said with tears in her eyes. The doctor was very surprised and said that he was the doctor and took them to America at his own expense and treated the young man and healed him.
In the Bible, in Luke 13, Jesus Christ was teaching in the synagogue on the Sabbath. There was a woman who had been bent over for 18 years and could not stand up straight. Jesus Christ laid his hands on her and immediately she stood up straight and glorified God. She must have been coming to church every day and praying. Her prayer for 18 years was so powerful that on the day God appointed, she was healed on that Sabbath.
Yes, the Lord will surely answer our prayers with faith. The answer may be delayed, but the answer will not be absent. When we believe, we will surely see the glory of God. Let us pray with faith and we will overcome.
