Who are you?

 

"The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God" - Psalm 14:2

 

Who are you? When asked what do you mean? If you ask like this, you will tell your name or your profession or your position. That's right, let it be. Now let us compare ourselves with the people in the Holy Bible and think about who we are!

 

In the Holy Bible, we see two people named Hannah and Peninnah. Peninnah had children. Hannah had no children. Therefore, Peninnah was seen as a great troublemaker for Hannah. Hannah was always weeping. But it is not written anywhere in the Bible that Hannah ever fought with Peninnah or complained to others. Hannah poured out her heart to God and prayed. Her prayer was heard. She gave birth to a prophet named Samuel. We read that she also had other children. Do we have a personality like Hannah in our family? Or are we like Peninnah? Who are we? Let us think.

 

There are many more people in the Bible. We can examine Esau, Jacob, Isaac, David, Saul, and many others. Some people do not live up to their names, some have good lives. But their names are not good.

 

Dear readers! We cannot change the character of others. But we can change ourselves. We should not be those who judge others. If we judge ourselves, we will have room to reflect on who we are. Let us reflect on who we are. Each of us is created in the image of God. Therefore, the characteristics of God should be seen within us. Each of us, created by God, is special. It is only God who can exalt and strengthen anyone. Therefore, let us submit ourselves today to His mighty hand until He exalts us.
