The Wall to Be Repaired

 

"…come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach…" - Nehemiah 2:17

 

A house needs a compound wall. Similarly, a wall can provide protection for a city. The wall helps prevent enemies from easily entering, attacking, and causing losses.

 

The wall is so important! When Nehemiah heard that the wall of Jerusalem, which was so important, had been demolished and the gates had been burned with fire, he wept, mourned, fasted, and prayed to the God of heaven. When Nehemiah prayed, he received the favour of God and the king. Then Nehemiah called out to his people to repair the wall that was in ruins, saying, “Come, let us build.” Each of them repaired the part of the wall that was in front of their houses. The wall was built faster than Nehemiah had expected. Some enemies tried to stop it. Their efforts were in vain. The hand of God was with Nehemiah and his people.

 

My dear people of God! Is the wall of your personal life being torn down? Is it your spiritual life, your family life, or your ministry? What is it that is being torn down? Seek the grace and help of God the Father today. God! This is beyond our power. But You can fix it. I am like a city without walls. Let us pray that You will repair the wall of our spiritual life. Yes, the Bible warns us that "the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." Therefore, let us be vigilant every day to repair our broken things. A repaired life will benefit many. Hallelujah!
