Hearer of Prayer

 

"O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come" - Psalm 65:2

 

A brother who worked with me in the office had been praying for the salvation of his friend for 25 years. Suddenly, he thought to himself, "We have prayed for so many years, will he get salvation hereafter?" and he stopped praying for his friend. But one day, he met the friend in Chennai whom he had prayed for, and understood he had been saved. When I asked him when he was saved, he replied, "A few years ago."

 

Think about it, our God is not only the one who hears prayers, but the answer is also that all flesh will come to him. The more we pray with faith for the salvation of others, the more God can work. First, if we believe that our God is the one who hears prayer, we will start praying. The Bible says that if we pray to the Lord without faith, that prayer is in vain. And we read in Matthew 21:22 that whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive if you believe. Therefore, when we pray to Him, our prayer should be a prayer of faith. At the same time, we should pray as those who realize what kind of person the Lord is and how powerful He is. The centurion who prays for his servant knows how powerful the Lord is and says, 'Lord, just say the word! My servant will be healed.' This should also be our prayer. The Lord will surely answer our prayer.

 

The Lord tells a parable about how we should always pray without getting tired. In Luke 18:1-8, the woman who persistently appealed to the unjust judge finally obtained justice for her. Will not God be very patient enough toward his chosen ones who cry out to him day and night? He will definitely bring justice to them. “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Hallelujah!
