The Word Will Save

 

"Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee" - Ps.119:11

 

A fierce war took place between two nations. Many were killed in a bomb explosion. A man who had been shot in the war woke up and realized that he was alive. He felt where the bullet had hit him. The bullet was in his shirt pocket. The reason he was alive was because of the New Testament in his pocket. The bullet had not penetrated the New Testament, and could not have penetrated his body. That is why the man survived.

 

Children of God, the psalmist says, I have hidden your word (The Word) in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Those whose hearts have the Word, the "destructive bomb" called sin cannot do anything. Take Joseph, how could he commit such great wickedness against God when he saw his master's wife who had come to defy him? He ran away and protected himself. That bullet wounded him and sent him to prison, but it could not take his life.

 

Beloved people of God! Whatever we read and listen to the Bible, we should take it and store it in the locker of our hearts. Only then will that word prevent us from committing sin and save our spiritual life. If there is no word in the heart, the bullet of sin will surely kill us. In Psalm 37:31, it says, "The word of his God is in his heart; his steps do not stumble." Those who give importance to the word of God will surely protect their souls from evil. Let us read and listen to the Bible more and let us take it and store it in the locker of our hearts. Let us guard our spiritual life. May the Lord Himself bless you! Amen!
